My Entry Into What Became Pray.Network

The Web of Prayer Phil Miglioratti (MA ’74)Spring 2001 TEDS Bridge magazine I think five or six of us showed up that June 1990. We placed our chairs in a small circle and introduced ourselves: “Hi, I’m Al from Palatine…I’m Joe from Arlington Heights…John from Lake Zurich…Gary from Schaumburg.” They had come to my office to pray, to pray with other pastors. Even six months prior, only dragging me to pray with other pastors would work.  I thought these meetings were intimidating. On its tenth…See More

My Primary #ReimaginePRAYER Focus
Throughout the Congregation
This Scripture Drives My #Reimagine Journey
Do not be confined to the traditions and trends of church culture. Allow the Holy Spirit to transform your understanding of prayer and how you practice praying, by the renewing of your mind... so that ...your prayers become effective in demonstrating that God's will is good, perfect, and pleasing. [My paraphrase of Romans 12:2]
How To Begin a Reimagine Journey [My Tweet-Sized (280 characters) suggestion]
Ask. Seek. Knock. •ASK a question before making a request; "Holy Spirit, how are you leading me to pray about this person / problem? •SEEK the Spirit's guidance through silence / stillness, scripture, song, scribing (journaling your prayer). •KNOCK when you know; pray boldly because you have discernment and direction from the mind of Christ.
WHY? is it important for the Church to #ReimaginePRAYER?
Ministry is meant to flow from prayer. Status quo praying has produced less than satisfying results across the Church. Pray.Network is asking the Lord for 10,000 Christ followers to become payers champions, who live and leads others into Spirit-led & Scripture-fed living, serving, worshipping, witnessing, loving ...

Thank you for the welcome Brother Phil. Very cool that you are a friend of Dick Eastman. The Pastor I referenced from the 80s is now in Colorado. He used to use Dick Eastman materials to teach on prayer. The Pastor himself is one of the true prayer warriors I have known in life. He has had Mr. Eastman teach at
his current church.

I can Not add any photo so will give up on that. Prayer is the Praise of our every heartbeat and breath as God has Re-Breathed into us Newness of Life Everlasting thru salvation. His Spirit has made US ...HIS abode - absolutely incredible and such a mystery to live out of! HE, the Spirit, Flows out of me constantly, manifesting the Mind of Christ IN me. Always Grateful -  Retraining for Ministry this year after 40 Incredible years in Asia serving HIM with My Amazing John whom God took Home to Heaven suddenly 22 months ago. We were never going to retire. HE is RE-Imaging meAmazed 24/7

Thanks so much Phil,

I've read the Verses and Scriptures and they have been great for me.

I written them down and allowing them to sink in and I'm repeating them and speaking them out aloud and I really do feel better and inspired.

Hello Dave,

I am blessed by your humility and realization that the Lord is the point of all we do here on Pray.Network ... but it is also a blessing to see the Spirit of the Lord work through faithful, yielded leaders. In other words, it is not merely the content of the comments you make or ideas you share but the life-well-lived in obedience that also teaches and trains us. Like our sister site Discipleship.Network, we can disciple one another even through social media!

I welcome feedback from you and others who read this,

Is it helpful to give the name of the person who started a group? I am uncomfortable with my name listed every time someone posts on Shaking The World Through The Printed Word. I am not the point of the site.
