Thanks for the warm welcome Marsha! I often have limited access to write, but more time to read, so I will indeed be praying.

Thanks for your kind words, Marsha! I agree, I love it when the Lord gives young people, or ANY of us, into a deeper awareness of Himself! Hey, by the way, I love your drawings! I am so visual myself, I really appreciate your ability to take concepts and put them into visual form. Great to meet you, hope to get to know you better, and see more of those great drawings!

Thank you for answering my email. Yes I can see that you can relate to my situation in a lot of ways. Thank you for your offer of prayer. I know for me I have felt overwhelmed by just one more prayer request. lol They other day someone had asked for prayer and these negative thoughts came to me about not being able to pray, only this time I suspected that this was a lie of the enemy. I told the enemy of my soul that the Holy Spirit was totally capabile of praying for this woman and prayed out loud for the individual . I found my prayer for her interesting and I believe Holy Spirit inspired. So I expect you have prayed for me already and would appreciate prayer lifted you on my behave. My plan is to take one day a week to pray at the church and spend time with God. I will pray for you also. Jill

Thanks for wanting to be my friend! I have a son & daughter-in-law in West Chester and the 3 grandchildren in my profile picture are their girls. They are all an answer to prayer as they where not suppose to be able to have children. As I shared with my son, "if the Lord wants you to have children it doesn't matter what the doctors say." Their names are Kathrine Hannah, Emma Elizabeth, and Sarah Grace. It's interesting to me that their names include women who were unable to have children... but God.And I'm pretty sure my daughter-in-law did not realize that when she named them. There is much more I could share about the dreams and the prayers for them but maybe another time.
Presently I'm dissatisfied with my prayer relationship with God. I'm determined to get out of the business and back to relationship. By the way I am a pastor's wife.

One Sunday a month we go to a local homeless place and minister. We fix and serve lunch and then have church there. Today we fed about 125 people and saved 5. God is good! It's my favorite Sunday of each month.

Each year, we do a 6-week all-church journey based on a particular area of faith. For instance, last year we had one called 'Consumed', about finding out what things consume our lives, sacrificing monetarily, and learning how to be consumed by God. In the past 2 years, we've had other churches in the tri-state area joining us. We had over 60 churches last year! It involves the weekend message at church, a small group during the week, and written work to do over the course of each week. Each church gives their own weekend message but we all use the same resources in our groups. It's really cool to have so many churches teaching and doing the same thing because when we do things in such large numbers, we can really get things done!

There's some information here:
You can download the guide that we will be using there and you can watch the service online as well. The church service should be up by Monday. It starts this weekend. I am so excited!

Brian (our pastor) also has a new book out (his first was 'Welcome to the Revolution', published by Thomas Nelson, as is this book) called -- Free Book*. Imagine that! lol

You can find out information about it here:

I love so much that the Church (big 'C', the Body of Christ) is moving together in our area. No egos, no fingerpointing, just a band of believers wanting to live out our lives reflecting the love of Jesus and RECEIVING the love of Jesus. Receiving is the hard part for me. It's much easier for me to give than it is to receive. I always think that someone else's needs are greater than my own, forgetting that God doesn't run out of love and there's enough for all of us (including me!).

But I'm learning. :)

Hi, Mindy!

I live on the westside of Cincinnati in Covedale. We go to Crossroads Church and absolutely love it. Many churches in the area are joining us for the Free* journey. Are you guys doing it,too?

I so miss Pray! magazine and am excited about what this group will bring. Thanks for the friendship!

Joyfully serving Jesus,

Hi Marsha, Nice to hear from you! The photo was taken when we got about 30 inches of snow after Christmas, but we have had very little since. (You've been getting our share.) By the way, I'm a Buckeye from Akron. The weather here is very similar to northern Ohio, but sunnier.

This morning my husband and I are off to the National Day of Prayer Task Force meeting. We are making plans for Brown County Ohio to participate in the event. I posted a photo of our event 2 years ago. If you are not involved in the event in your area, I urge you to get involved.
