Dr. Hughes, Thanks for all your efforts at Liberty! We did so enjoy our stop at Liberty several years ago and the cover of our first annual magazine is graced by a photo of Liberty ROTC beside Prayer Force One. (Which can be seen on our web site at a href="http://www.PrayerForceOne.com>" target="_blank">www.PrayerForceOne.com> Please stay in touch, our e-ddress is <Ed@PrayerForceOne.com> Blessings brother!
May the Lord bless all that you are doing in spreading the vision of prayer at Liberty. I have a friend who has applied for a position at Liberty called Karen Jones. She is an excellent teacher, good with students, and is very strong in prayer and intercession. She was at IHOP here in Kansas City for a couple of years. I thought it would be good for you to meet her as she could help promote prayer at Liberty. She has not yet heard whether she will be hired or not but I give her a strong endorsement.
I get excited when I hear about prayer on college campuses. Keep up the good work and may God give you extraordinary favor with the students and teachers.
Hi Charles. I'm very glad you are regularly using the devotional book I sent you. I pray you will know more of the wonders of Christ each day. He is so worthy of all our attention, affection and awe. I am delighted to send a copy of the book to Jim Voogd on Monday too. CHRIST IS ALL, Steve.
Charles. That sounds like the ideal calling. I pray that book will be very helpful to you and the students at Liberty. If I can ever serve with you in that process, please let me know. CHRIST IS ALL, Steve.
Charles, Thank you for your comments about the book. I'm sending a copy to you today. I pray it will help you know and love Christ more each day. He is absolutely worthy of our devotion and adoration. CHRIST IS ALL, Steve.
Encouraging prayer on a campus is a major responsibility--One which I know God is helping you and will bless you.
Thank you for the encouragement about the 'Praying Together Course'. It was compiled from my experience, and my heart is to encourage others to pray and pray together.
I do hope someday we can make a personal acquaintance. Periodically I go to Mecklenburg county--about 2 hours from Liberty on the North Carolina border. I have been researching the Old Randolph Macon College Facility usage after the Civil War, bu the Boydton Institute. That institute, was located in Boydton, Va and was a prep/bible school for blacks in the region.
My heart is that the house of the headmaster, which is still standing, may someday be used for prayer retreats and teaching of prayer.
May the Lord help you encourage many Liberty Students to learn to pray from their heart.
