"God's Faithfulness" is never altered nor decided by our "merited perfection" or by our "poor performance"; because the inerrancy of HIS ways, the immutability of HIS character, and the infallibility of HIS word and will - have been eternally settled, and not contingent upon "human" ability, consistency or integrity.

But, we will not see HIM as HE really is - if we don't deliberately ask or pursue those promises from God's word, by confessing and claiming them "in faith";…

Is it Possible to Receive MORE of God's Favor?

I can’t tell you for sure whether America’s Founding Fathers were influenced by the New Age or infiltrated by the Illuminati. But some of the Latin phrases they used are pretty intriguing.

Recently I took a look at Annuit Coeptis, which is found on the Great Seal and the back of our dollar bills. This Latin phrase can be translated “He (or Providence) favors our undertakings” or “He has prospered our endeavors.”

Wow. Our Founders somehow realized they…

Pastor Saeed Abedini has been through a great injustice, and I'm sure many of us wonder - "Why would God let this innocent man suffer, when he's done absolutely nothing wrong?"

Well, first of all, we can't attribute everything that happens to God - especially when "the earth has been given to the children of men". (Psalm 115:16b)

"The Church" should act as an "enforcement agency" for God's Agenda, by walking in the authority of Christ and having dominion over the works of… Continue

WELCOME to the intercessors who have joined the list this month.

'Break the arm of the wicked and evildoer . . . ' (Psalm 10:15a ESV), the 'arm' being the machinery of action that facilitates evil: military and economic supply lines; power structures, relationships and networks; forums that disseminate ideologies of death. Lord, break them all!

Figs and Faith

The next day after Jesus had His triumphant entry into Jerusalem and had cleared the temple of those who were gouging the public with their sales and money changing, Jesus was going back to Jerusalem.

He and the disciples had gone to Bethany for the night and on their way back, Jesus got hungry. He saw a fig tree ahead and since it was a public domain type of tree, He thought He would eat a few figs from it.

When they got there were only leaves on…

How Worry Hinders the Effectiveness of our Prayers

Have you ever tried to pray while in the midst of worry?  It’s not pleasant.

Worry may sometimes motivate a person to pray, but it should not be the heart-position one routinely takes when going to God in prayer.

Often, while praying from a position of worry, our prayers are very self-centered or world-focused (instead of God-centered).  Worry fixes our eyes on worldly circumstances and has a strong tendency to hold our eyes there; looking away from God. …

What prayer is becoming to me.

God has been speaking intently to me about prayer for the last several months: about six to be exact. Ever since I picked up a book by Evelyn Christensen entitled “What Happens When Women Pray”. That book grabbed me by the heart and has not let me go. The Holy Spirit used the those words that He gave to Evelyn, to influence an entirely different way to pray in my life; And, I believe, a more powerful way to pray.

James 5:16 says, “ Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray…

Top-priority for Grandmothers in Oregon

I would like to share with you about the Grandparents @ Prayer (G@P) intercessory prayer group in Beaverton, Oregon in which I participate. We meet the second Tuesday afternoon for about 90 minutes each month in a nearby church.

When we started, there were several women but then several dropped out and only two of us met for probably a year. Then finally, several others joined us and now we have four to six grandmothers attending regularly from various churches. We have bonded into a…

A Four-Fold Benedictine Blessing

Though not personally Benedictine, this prayer (which was originally written by Sr. Ruth Fox, OSB, in 1985) caught my attention as I was thinking through how to pray and what specifically to pray for during 2013. I pray that you will also find it useful. It is reprinted with attribution below:

'Worse than Darfur' - but who cares?

by Elizabeth Kendal

In 1992, during its war against South Sudan, Khartoum declared a jihad against the 'rebellious' Nuba: the African tribes of the north's Nuba Mountains who along with the southerners were resisting Islamisation and racist Arab supremacy. A government-sponsored fatwa legitimised the…

Pray for Increase!

God woke me up early this morning with a very challenging, yet encouraging, message on my heart: “I’m looking for a return on My investment.”

If you’ve spent any time in the business world, you are familiar with this principle. Those who invest money in a business venture don’t do so just for altruistic reasons—they expect their investment to grow and give them a return. This “Return On Investment” is commonly abbreviated ROI.

Praying Over Past Family Issues--both Good Issues and Bad Issues

Last March, I went on a prayer journey to my parents home county, and prayed over areas where my family had connection.  It was both a prayer of repentance and also about good things that I knew.  When you confess sin, prayer is not easy.--Important point.  One place I prayed, had been the house of a Lady of Prayer, which was on the property of a former school that my Great great Grandfather had written the charter to.  Prayer at that place was the easiest.

Now what is…

God Uses People to Bridge the Gap

The Bible describes prayer as “Standing in the Gap” or “Bridgingthe Gap” the channel through which God’s will is brought to earth. We are going to look in God’s Word to see some examples of people He used to stand in the gap so his purpose could be accomplished.

God chose or appointed Moses to stand in the gap between His people, the Israelites and Pharaoh. Esther stood in the gap for her people, the Israelites…

Are You In Search Of Your Future?

I’m writing this at the beginning of a new year; a year in which many of us seem to be in transition. Some of us sense that a door is opening; some feel as if one has been slammed shut; and others are looking for the door—looking for direction.…
