"I Can't Pray for An Entire Hour!"

"I can’t pray for one hour." Some Christians seem to be intimidated by Jesus’ statement to His disciples in Matthew 26:40: "Could you men not keep watch with me for one hour?" They reason, “If the disciples were rebuffed because of their inability to pray for one hour, and effective prayer requires praying for that length of…See More

Thanks so much Phil,

I've read the Verses and Scriptures and they have been great for me.

I written them down and allowing them to sink in and I'm repeating them and speaking them out aloud and I really do feel better and inspired.

Hello Dave,

I am blessed by your humility and realization that the Lord is the point of all we do here on Pray.Network ... but it is also a blessing to see the Spirit of the Lord work through faithful, yielded leaders. In other words, it is not merely the content of the comments you make or ideas you share but the life-well-lived in obedience that also teaches and trains us. Like our sister site Discipleship.Network, we can disciple one another even through social media!

I welcome feedback from you and others who read this,

Phil

Is it helpful to give the name of the person who started a group? I am uncomfortable with my name listed every time someone posts on Shaking The World Through The Printed Word. I am not the point of the site.

In public and private, in sanctuary and home, may my life be steeped in prayer, filled with the spirit of grace and supplication, each prayer perfumed with the incense of atoning blood Help me, defend me, until from praying ground I pass to the realm of unceasing praise.
