Vision for the Praying the Names of Christ group
This vision for this group when it began in 2010 was to be a place where prayer leaders from around the U.S. and beyond, could come to know more of the greatness of Christ, share Scripture passages about His majesty, worship Him together, and pray for His Lordship of our lives, the whole Church and all people.
As part of that vision, I have been posting a daily name or attribute of Christ, and a prayer for the past two years. Now, I have compiled 365 names and attributes of Christ (one for each day of the year) from throughout the Bible, into a book, "I Want to Know More of Christ: A Daily Devotional on His Matchless Names." This book is a resource that the whole Church, anywhere, can use, individually and collectively, to become consumed in Christ and to unite in praying for His rule and reign according to all He is.

It is helping me a lot with my upward, worshipful focus on Christ and (very genuinely) to help me overcome some challenges with scripture that caused me to personalize too much. The names of Christ, from Genesis through Revelation, have deeply impacted me during the past four-five years. As I have discovered name after name, and written prayers of worship, thanksgiving, surrender and intercession based upon each name, my passion for and devotion to Him as grown each day. I wrote the daily devotional, I Want to Know More of Christ," to help other believers know all they possibly can about Him and become consumed in His greatness. I note that Charles went to my website and downloaded the first month of devotions. I can't remember, Cathy, if you have done that previously. Jesus first and for most Him alone... the true Spirit f God points to Jesus the King .. not to power but to Jesus... I see so much in the church that wants power but its soul power of the flesh and I am so alarmed..it has to be JESUS...its ALL about Him...

Stephen, I am SO very sorry not to have acknowledged the receipt of your book... I have been away from home a lot recently..I gave that copy to my daughter as she is on her own with 3 small kids and doesnt have a lot of money for books... so shes using it now..so.... I need to get another copy...this time we need to work out how I can pay for this,even if its shipping...
