City Prayer Leadership Teams (PC2LN) |
![]() ![]() which we engage. So the goal is notprayer - it is the beginning point. Out of aprayer matrix, a prayer ethos, we want to see city teams emerge that envision a transformed city. The 'Prayer Council' will assist in laying the foundation, but the mission is far beyond that.
We want to connect the Ezras (pastoral leaders), intercessors - across a whole city/county, which has typically never been done, and envision and mobilize Nehemiahs (lay leaders), but not as elders and deacons, but as members of the various vocational tribes in the community, in order for them to be a missional influence.
Currently, Doug is looking for eight to twelve 'pilot' cities as well as existing networks that have already, by the leading of the Spirit, commenced the process. Emaildougsmall@projectpray.org to learn more.
A rhythm of prayer drives the process - daily personal prayer, weekly small group connections, monthly prayer gatherings in congregations, quarterly community-wide prayer gatherings, and annual days of prayer and fasting, such as the National Day of Prayer. |
