A Community of Prayer Champions, Praying Churches, Prayed-for Communities

Tropical Storm Barry is gaining strength in the Gulf of Mexico with an expected strike on east Texas and/or Louisiana this coming weekend. This is an area that has experienced several severe flood events, including Hurricane Harvey, over the past several years and many people are still trying to recover.  The Somebody Cares chapter and ministry partners in the area are asking for prayer, and trying to prepare residents, especially the elderly and those with fixed or low incomes for power outages, flooding and more potential damage.
Somebody Cares is monitoring the situation and has partners on the ground ready to assist if the storm causes damage.
  • Please join us in prayer that the storm will dissipate and that the Church will be ready to respond should the need arise.
  • If you are in the path of the storm, you should prepare now for possible flooding and power outages.
Thank you for caring!
