A Community of Prayer Champions, Praying Churches, Prayed-for Communities

This business of praying, while a very rewarding thing, also takes discipline and a choice.. We have to choose to talk to God and choose to obey so that we can keep the communication lines open. I have to choose to turn off the tv, choose to read books on prayer when I'd rather just tune out and so on. I also have to choose to keep praying even when there are no results yet. I have to keep on believing those promises until I see them fulfilled. This is much easier said then done!

So glad I have the choice though! It is so good to be able to go to the top and get help when I need it, which is all the time!

Yes, and those acts of obedience to pray or take some other action are there for me to choose so that i can have abundant life, others can have abundant life! Father, give me the strength to choose life! And thanks for your comments on my blog!

You make a good point about obedience in order to keep the lines of communication open. We must try our best to live by the Word and when we fail we have to confess our sin and repent in order to be in communication with our holy and perfect God. He is quick to forgive and eager to help us to live as we should. If people feel their prayers are hitting a wall instead of making their way to God it is probably because of unconfessed sin. We have to let Jesus cover our sins so we can be in communication with God. Such a lovely Way God designed for us to be in communication with Him. I am very thankful to have the choice to converse with Him! Thanks for the reminder.

Thank you for remembering us of this vital part in our prayer-life. It is so absolutely true that you never will find some popriate time for praying. You just have to choose to take time with God.
The other day God reminded me that if we take God serious,he will take us serious and reward our faith.

Thank you for the reminder that we have a choice and we choose to pray!
