I have a confession to make. I've voted in maybe about 15 national elections over the years, and I can't remember a time when I asked God which candidate should get my vote. Sometimes we like to put God in small boxes whose boundaries we can understand and cope with. The problem is, that as a free and sovereign Being, God isn't accountable to us for staying in the boxes we like to create.

I really appreciate the premise of the book that prayer begins with God, not with us.
