We can be sober and vigilant with joy.

The recent attacks against this prayer network should awaken us afresh and anew to the season of war we are in. But we can "count it all joy" as it says in James, as we continue to enforce the open show of the triumph of our God. To ignore an attack or an enemy is to allow it to win, to acknowledge and enforce the victory God has already given us, makes known the manifold wisdom of God in entrusting us as His ambassadors to see His kingdom come and His will be done on earth as it is in heaven.… Continue

FAW: Faith At Work

Faith At Work: Probably there are very few of you who remember FAW; it has now changed to Lumunos. It was a faith based group of people who got together at "retreats" around the country to encourage and grow in their daily walk with God.

Woke up this morning at 1am with Barnabas snoring and wheezing on the rug beside my bed. Called to her and a few minutes later she joined me, snuggled in real close to my belly and with a few kind kind…

Why it is "Good" to Give Thanks!

Every Sunday morning for over 20 years, with very few exceptions, I've been privileged to gather with a group of prayer partners to read a Psalm then spend an hour in worship-based prayer. The worship in the word is sweet and the Spirit always guides us as we take time to specifically focus on prayers for the Sunday services of the…

Come Out of the Stronghold

By Os Hillman

November 18

"...Do not stay in the stronghold. Go into the land of Judah ..." (1 Samuel 22:5).

David and his fighting men had been hiding in the cave of Adullam. He was fleeing Saul. Many of life's down-and-out had come and joined David's army. David was content to stay in the stronghold of safety. Then, God's prophet came to David and…

A Season for Real Change

Today’s Americans are not the first to cry out for change, or to welcome

a radical shift in focus. Discontentment is at our core, currently

woven into the very fabric of who we are as a nation, and echoing the

sentiments that first brought pilgrims to these shores. Our

disenchantment with the abuse of power, and our restlessness with

cultural decadence are simply symptoms of national discontent—a desire

for something more; a longing for higher standards and true… Continue

Voices Together: Psalm 119:142-144

Psalm 119:142-144

Your righteousness is righteous forever, and your law is true. Trouble and anguish have found me out, but your commandments are my delight. Your testimonies are righteous forever; give me understanding that I may live.

Righteous forever! Your righteousness and Your testimonies! A perfect North Star to guide me, never obscured by clouds only by vision dimmed by unwillingness. Where ever I…

Voices Together: Psalm 37:12-33

Psalm 37:12-33

The wicked plots against the righteous and gnashes his teeth at him, but the Lord laughs at the wicked, for he sees that his day is coming. The wicked draw the sword and bend their bows to bring down the poor and needy, to slay those whose way is upright; their sword shall enter their own heart, and their bows shall be broken. Better is the little that the righteous has than the abundance of many wicked. For the arms of the wicked shall be… Continue

Voices Together: Psalm 37:1-11

Psalm 37:1-11

Of David. Fret not yourself because of evildoers; be not envious of wrongdoers! For they will soon fade like the grass and wither like the green herb. Trust in the LORD, and do good; dwell in the land and befriend faithfulness. Delight yourself in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him, and he will act. He will bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the… Continue
