We all have things we have prayed for and others have prayed with us endlessly. Then, there are those changes in ourselves that we wish we would see faster! How to keep going during those times... Well, for starters we must remain close to Jesus at all times and especially those times when things take forever. The second thing would be to be in the Word even more then usual. The third thing would be to grab all trusted Christian friends you can find and LET THEM KNOW! That is tough because who… Continue

God has been so good to me. My prayer and desire is to have a closer walk with Him. Two of my children are always on my heart. As someone very long ago said - "when kids are young they get on your nerves - when they grow up they are on your heart." Christ is coming back soon we must all pray for quidance and listen to His voice." God is still in the prayer answering business. Pray for me to always hear God's voice and to do His will. Continue

My medical school grandson suggested this to me recently. He started it in high school. I have tried it and found it helpful.
Start each day with "Dear God" and proceed from there into your day, thanking, petitioning, praising God all day and before you go to sleep at night, say "Amen". Your whole day is a prayer unto our God.

Jesus Christ,Son of the Living God, Have mercy on me a sinner. This prayer is simple but profound. It reaches out to Jesus Christ for mercy, grace and forgiveness.

I thought this article about VBS and prayer may be of interest to some here. Please check out the article at World Magazine, http://online.worldmag.com/2010/06/11/the-woman-who-quit-vbs/#postPageTop.
We all need to be in prayer for the many VBS programs throughout our land during this summer season. Who knows? Perhaps revival for our nation may start through this effort.

Do you love to pray? Or is a duty that you do because God commanded us to pray? How about your church people? What’s their view of prayer?
David once cried, “O God, you are
my God, earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you, my body longs for you, in a draw and weary land where there is no water” (Psalm 63:1). That speaks of a heart longing for God, a heart full of passion for prayer. No one can have a passion and hunger for more of God, without having a prayer… Continue

not exactly sure how to blog this is all new to me . I am wanting to find some scripture based studies on prayer for small groups. feel that prayer and especially people gathering together for prayer is a forgotten part or our relationship with Christ--- by this I am speaking of the type of prayer where from our heart we cry out to God ----not for our needs but for the hurting people in the world and in our churches today. for things in our lives and in our world that relate to eternity not… Continue

Prayer Strategy For Ministry
By Dave Butts
All too often we look at prayer as a 'quick fix" to a difficult situation. Have you ever said, "I've tried everything else - I might as well pray! Often we only have "time" to offer a few quick prayers hoping to bring God into the situation so that everything will be fine. . and sometimes this proves to be the case (although probably more because of God's great love for us than from the power of our prayers).
If you are… Continue

LAST FRONTIER. Believers among a Last Frontier people group are under intense pressure since a video of a baptism aired nightly on television last week. Some groups want to expel all foreigners and kill all local people who have chosen to follow Christ. Pray that evil plans will be thwarted and tensions will subside. Ask that believers will stand… Continue

“Intercessors have strategic assignments in their prayer closets. The prayer closet is like those ancient watchtowers. From there, they can scour ‘the spiritual horizon’ like air traffic controllers. They often sense spiritual things discerning the good from the bad, the welcome from the unwelcome. In prayer, God sometimes exposes the enemy’s plans and shows the… Continue
