Sorry that it took awhile to get bak to you. I look forward to reading your blogs as well! I would agree with your friend about Moms In Touch, unquestionably a life changer! It sounds like I had better experiences at church then she did but God really used MITI in me and my family!
Thanks for joining in our group Prayer for the World. I pray the initial prayer for the countries we are praying for each day and then other group members add their prayers so we can all pray in agreement.
We're glad to have you as part of our group!

What Scripture on prayer inspires you the most?
2 Corinthians 1: 3-4 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, 4who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.
Psalm 27:14 - Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.
Romans 8:26 - Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.
Psalm 40:1-3 - I waited patiently for the Lord, He turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the mud and mire; He set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. He put a new son in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God.
I couldn't resist sharing some others. DesiringGod has a great list entitled "A Good Start on Prayer in 2009"
What book or resource has impacted your prayer life the most?
~ Adventures in Prayer, by Catherine Marshall, beautifully written and inspiring ~ Prayer: Conversing with God, by Rosalind Rinker, the friendly and encouraging little book that I came across on a personal retreat.
If I really wanted to pray I'll tell you what I'd do. I'd go out into a great big field alone or into the deep, deep woods, and I'd look up into the sky - up - up - up - into that lovely blue sky that looks like there's no end to its blueness. And then I'd just feel a prayer.~L.M. Montgomery…
