PTAP: New Believers and those Soon to Be Believers

A religious leader who is becoming more and more uncomfortable with his own religion is asking questions to a believer and reading the Book. Ask that he will be given clear understanding and will find the peace that he is seeking. May many others who are under his care join him in his journey.A new believer struggles with depression. Please pray that she will find much joy in her new relationship with Jesus, that this joy will be noticed by her friends and family so that it brings much glory to…See More

PTAP: CITY FOCUS - TAIF, SAUDI ARABIA

Taif is a beautiful mountain city set in the province of Mecca, Saudi Arabia. This city is known as the "summer holiday" location for many Saudis due to it's temperate climate and incredible harvests of grapes, figs, dates and honey. This city is surrounded by many local and national parks, a crater and filled with beautiful gardens. Along with its natural beauty comes a great infrastructure and technological development. It is a stop on a main highway through the region as well as home to a…See More

PTAP: Falling Away, Returning to Grace

A small community of local believers is facing a strong challenge as they watch a member fall away. Pray for restoration, strength, and unity, and that His bride will emerge victorious for His glory in this situation.  Praise the Lord for restoration of a believer who was mentioned in a previous request. The believer has renewed faith in the Lord and is once again walking in fellowship. Please pray for continued strength and for freedom from the issue that caused the falling away.A young woman…See More

Lord's Prayer for the Arabian Peninsula

As you pray the Lord's Prayer, pray it with a heart to see churches all over the Arabian Peninsula praying this prayer. This is a prayer designed to be prayed by groups of believers meeting together to seek the Father of the Lord Jesus Christ. Pray this prayer phrase by phrase as if you were part of a small fellowship gathering in a village, town or city in the Arabian Peninsula. Pray it with a heart to see the Father change its tribes, villages, towns, and cities.  "This, then, is how you…See More

PTAP: Qatar, Quest, Fulfillment

We so often see with earthly eyes and not spiritual, and need reminding that the recent Middle East turmoil surrounding Qatar is both geo-political and in the heavens. Due to the wealth of the nation, daily lives of residents and locals seem unchanged. The supermarket shelves have been refilled after an initial panic, water and electricity continue, and the minor inconveniences include finding flights that don't go through certain airports.  Locals are hanging Qatari flags on their homes;…See More

PTAP: City Focus - Umm Al-Quwain, UAE

Umm al-Quwain is both a city and an emirate in the United Arab Emirates.  The name means "the mother of two powers," one power being the sea and the other the land. Umm al-Quwain is a relaxed and peaceful emirate.Archeological digs show that this city goes back over 5,000 years and there are tombs that go back to the time of Christ. Its unique lagoon today hosts fishing and speedboats, but in the past, other travelers came here to exchange goods from around the Gulf and the world. They were…See More

New Season

As Ramadan has come to a close, pray for freedom from a religious spirit that keeps people in bondage to faith in their own works. Pray that believers will live out their faith in front of their neighbors and co-workers in a way that will attract them to Jesus Christ. Continue to pray that locals will have dreams and visions of Jesus Christ. Pray that they will hunger to know Him for who is truly is and connect with believers who can help disciple them.Be in prayer for university students who…See More

PTAP: Night of Power; Qatar

Today (June 22, 2017) is the 27th day of Ramadan and is known as the Night of Power or Destiny.  It is one of the holiest days in the Islamic calendar.  Muslims believe that the Qu'ran was first revealed to Mohammad during this last week of Ramadan which established Mohammad as the Messenger of Allah.  Nobody knows the exact day but the 27th day is generally accepted. The Night of Power is found both in the Qu'ran and the Hadith.  It is reported in the Hadith that Mohammad said: "Whoever stays…See More

PTAP: Jubail, Saudi Arabia, home of ancient Christian Church.

Sitting on the northeast coast of Saudi Arabia, Jubail is one of the largest industrial cities in the Middle East. From 1975 until current day, Jubail has seen rapid expansion and an influx of petrochemical workers. Although many internationals come to work in this city, Jubail remains predominantly Saudi (73%) thus making it an effective ministry city.   Prayer PointsWith the concentration of Saudi citizens in this area, pray that the Lord would send out Christian workers to this city who are…See More

PTAP: City Focus: Dhaid, UAE

Posted on September 13, 2017 at 7:44am 0 Comments

Dhaid is an oasis town in the UAE.  It is what a typical city might look like in the United Arab Emirates if oil wealth had not radically changed the country.  This city does not boast any massive skyscrapers like its neighbors Dubai and Abu Dhabi, but is a desert city with some agriculture and many date palms.

Throughout history, the nomadic Bedouin tribes would pass through Dhaid…

Posted on September 1, 2017 at 2:22pm 0 Comments

For the pilgrims, day three is the longest day. It might take some people two days, and the pilgrimage is not finished until they complete all of these sacred acts.

There are five different sacred acts to perform today and they can be done in almost any order. This can take some people more than one day.…
