From Grumbling to Glory

“. . . I will bless the LORD at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth” (Psalm 34:1 NASB)Why do you suppose we most often refer to David as the “psalmist”? It’s true 73 of the “songs” are attributed to him, but that’s less than half. Maybe we consider him the author of Psalms because we identify with his personal challenges and triumphs. In fact, some…See More

Seven Words to Remember

As our attention is drawn this month to the passion of the Christ, I’ve been reflecting on our Savior’s final words spoken from the cross. By all accounts, Jesus didn’t do a lot of talking. He was almost silent during those painful hours as He hung suspended between earth and heaven. These significant “Seven Last Words,” as they’ve come to be identified, provide a window into Jesus’ soul. The cruel torture of crucifixion would have virtually pressed the very life’s breath out of Jesus’ lungs,…See More

Cry Out America at Every County Courthouse across America

September 11, 2015 from 12pm to 1pm
Every year, Cry Out America mobilizes 9/11 prayer gatherings across the nation. This is more than just a time to reflect and remember, but a time to REPENT, seeking God for REVIVAL. The national wake-up call we experienced on September 11, 2001 still resonates in thousands of hearts. We are joining together beyond boundaries in a desperate cry for God to visit us once again with a Christ awakening. True repentance will touch the heart of God, and He will hear from heaven and heal our…See More

A Christ Awakening in America

Posted on February 19, 2014 at 8:38am 0 Comments

The publisher of Dr. Herbert Lockyer’s book, All the Prayers of the Bible, suggests there are no fewer 650 prayers in Scripture with 450 recorded answers. Can you imagine if all of our prayers were recorded and later published for the world to read? I shudder at the thought!

We can be relatively sure that all of the prayers of great men and women in the Bible were not documented for posterity, but our heavenly Father obviously felt some were significant enough to be available…

Upstream Generators

Posted on January 3, 2014 at 8:34am 0 Comments

We live in an area blessed with beautiful, clear rivers and streams. This is especially appealing to my husband, who loves trout fishing. Of course, he knows to always check the Tennessee Valley Authority website for the water generation schedule before making his plans. You see, if the dams upstream are generating power, it will impact the water levels and fishing conditions downstream.

The…
