A Community of Prayer Champions, Praying Churches, Prayed-for Communities

I have been doing a blog on following after Jesus for about 3 months now and am exploring the addition of a "Prayer Wall" on my blog to encourage prayer among those who follow my blog. I am looking for others online who have a "Prayer Wall" on their blog or web site so that I can get some ideas on how to organize one. If anyone is aware of one that they can pass along to me I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

Rick,

Each situation may be different—What you present and what others present—still we need God’s help to encourage individuals to pray, no matter the circumstances.

I have two blogs related to prayer, one lists a ‘Prayer Minute’ –a short encouragement to pray, and another on humility, with some encouragements to pray. Here is the situation: I find that when people come to either blog, they just make a short visit and stop there. It is possible that with my blog on ‘Prayer Minutes’, which I also record, they generally look at one ‘Prayer Minute’ and because it is so short and simple, they seem to stop with one or maybe look at second one. It is like knowing a resource is there, but they do not search for more encouragement. I have over 80+ prayers listed covering a number of situations. I have also notice that less than one out of ten even go to my index and search out a subject.

There are some that need minor editing, and now that I will be taking my retirement, that will be a project. They were written for voice recording-not general reading—there is a difference in how that is done. Perhaps I should have rewritten them before posting them-but most have good value in encouraging one to pray.

Perhaps a a commited group of 2-3 praying for the work on the blog would be good. You could call it a prayer wall—Personally I would prefer to have a local group whom I can personally talk with to cover my work in prayer, give me direction, and hold me accountable, and even help in editing It has been hard finding those who would commit to such a task. That may have been experienced by others too. We need laborers who will work with us to encourage prayer. Perhaps through the prayers of people on this network, joining together to help us find such support and help, we can move forward.

Just food for thought and PRAYER.
Thanks Lewis! I very much appreciate the input, insight and encouragement!
