US Pray 100 - Day 17 (Feb. 08)
Dear Prayer Team Member,
A vote of Jeff Sessions' nomination as attorney general is expected today. It cleared procedural hurdles yesterday in the Senate.
The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals is expected to rule today over President Donald Trump's temporary travel ban, and whether the president's executive order should be restored after last week's federal judge's ruling which halted the order.
Please pray for the nomination process for Jeff Sessions and all the other candidates still awaiting confirmation.
Also pray for the final results of the Appeals court and the affect it will have upon our nation.

The federal appeals court on Saturday rejected the President Trump's request to reinstate the "extreme vetting order". This means that Mr. Trump's directive will remain held allowing visa holders from Iran, Iraq, Syria, Sudan, Libya and Somalia to enter the US until the full case has been heard.
"Just cannot believe a judge would put our country in such peril. If something happens blame him and court system. People pouring in. Bad!"
Please pray for the protection of America during this time and that President Trump's administration will be able to quickly convince the courts of the need for this temporary vetting order.

The president first 14 days has been crowded with activities. He’s ordered a temporay halt on refugees, stopped immigration from seven high risk countries. Approved a counterterrorism raid in Yemen. Visited the family of one Navy SEAL who was killed. He signed a federal hiring freeze, required two regulations be released for every new one issued and withdrew from a multilateral Asian trade deal. And announced his nominee for the Supreme Court.
During the National Prayer Breakfast on Thursday, the president said “The world is in trouble, but we're going to straighten it out, okay? That's what I do. I fix things. We're going to straighten it out,”
Please pray for President Trump and his administration -- for wisdom, strength and endurance. And for the ongoing planning and implementation of the next steps to fix Washington DC and our Nation.

[apologies for missing several days. I have been having difficulty with the US Pray 100 website, but I think they have resolved it now]
A federal judge issued a temporary nationwide restraining order last night halting parts of President Trump's executive order banning citizens of seven countries from entering the United States. Customs and Border Protection told major U.S. airlines they should go “back to business as usual"
Judge James Robart from Seattle Washington ruled yesterday that the executive order would be stopped nationwide, effective immediately.
The president's administration are seeking an emergency stay saying "The president's order is intended to protect the homeland and he has the constitutional authority and responsibility to protect the American people," In a tweet statement, President Trump said "We must keep "evil" out of our country!"
Please pray for the president and his administration as they present their case and attempt to reverse this court order and reinstate the full protection of his executive order.

The White House is defending President Donald Trump's executive order that suspended the U.S. refugee program and banned travel for people from seven Muslim-majority countries Yesterday.
Speaking to reporters senior Administration officials maintained that the implementation of the order was a "massive success story." Airlines and ports of entry complained of contradictory or unclear guidance from federal officials, which were left scrambling over the weekend to determine how to implement the president's order.
President Trump criticized the media for its reporting on his executive order.
"To be clear, this is not a Muslim ban, as the media is falsely reporting," Trump said. "This is not about religion — this is about terror and keeping our country safe."
Please pray for President Trump and his administration as they protect our nation. Also, pray for a greater understanding and acceptance of this executive order by the media and our country.

US Pray 100 - Day 7
President Donald Trump signed an order on Friday halted immigration from Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen for 90 days, and stopped the resettlement of refugees for 120 days. The president said these actions were needed "to protect the American people from terrorist attacks by foreign nationals admitted to the United States.
Judges in four states -- New York, Washington, Massachusetts and Virginia issued rulings late yesterday and today blocking federal authorities from enforcing President Donald Trump's executive order restricting immigration from seven Muslim-majority countries.
Please pray for President Trump as he tries to assure our nation of need for this temporary security measure. Please also pray for those who are being affected by the decision.
US Pray 100 - Day 6
President Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin will speak by telephone today in their first conversation since the US president’s inauguration. Vice President Mike Pence also will join the call.

He continued, "How the relationship works out, I won't be able to tell you that (until) later. I've had many times where I thought I'd get along with people and I don't like them at all."
The president also said there was "no guarantee" on a path forward but said he hopes to have a good rapport with Putin but that it was possible they would be adversaries.
