Impacting Cities & Communities thru Prayer
A Community of Prayer Champions, Praying Churches, Prayed-for Communities
I’m writing to invite you to take part in a conference call this Thursday morning, February 17 at 11am EST. This is one of a series of lively conference calls hosted by Mission America to help keep people like you acquainted with fresh insights and practical ideas to see our communities prayed for, served and evangelized.
I’ve been asked to be the special guest, which means I’ll be asked to deal with some practical, penetrating issues in an interview style. It promises to be fast-paced and focused on the real challenges we face in our communities.
We’re going to take a look at some of the hindrances to mobilizing churches to pray for the people of their communities. How do we sustain prayer beyond the walls of our churches? Is it overreaching to attempt to pray for every person in an entire community?
I’ll mention some approaches to help people pray with confidence and biblical substance. I’ll also mention some ways to effectively use prayer guides (of course, I’ll mention Seek God For The City 2011).
So please dial in and take in sixty minutes of encouragement. I think you’ll find it invigorating. Once again, it’s this Thursday, February 17th at 10 am CST (11am EST, 9 am MST, 8 am PST).
To be part of the call, do this: Dial 712-432-0075 at the right time. When prompted use this code: 9310472. If possible, the hosts request that you RSVP with an email to email@example.com . Find out more about the Mission America Coalition at http://www.cityreaching.com
Yours in hope,
Steve Hawthorne, Director
PS: Don’t forget to order all the copies of Seek God For The City 2011 that you’ll need for your community. This morning we asked our printer to print thousands more, but even those won’t last long. Call us at 800-264-5214 or go to http://www.waymakers.org
